Elease Bolden - Greenwood
Mrs. Elease Bolden, 93, of 526 East Cambridge Avenue, widow of Lawyer Bolden, died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center.  Born in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of the late Will and Ada Syrkett.

She was a member of Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served as a Missionary until her health declined.  She attended Brewer  School and was a graduate of Vorhees College where she majored in elementary education.  

She was preceeded in death by one of her twin sons, Melvin Bolden.

Surviving are her daughters, Reverend Carolyn Tolbert, Tanist Bolden and a step daughter, Stella (Wade) Jones all of Greenwood; a son, Marvin (Margaret) Bolden of Decarur, GA.  Her remaining siblings of sixteen are Bennie Mae Carter of Greenwood, Willie Mae Carter of Ninety Six, and Charles Syrkett of Lawrenceville, GA; two grandsons, William Bolden, Victor Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.

 Elease's legacy of kindness, strength and integrity will sustain the family.

Funeral Services will be held at noon on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Webb officiating.  The body will be placed in the church 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the trustees and deacons, flower bearers will be the missionaries of the church.

The family is at the home.
