George Kidd Teasley, husband of Annette Shaw Teasley, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, January 15, 1927, he was a son of the late William A. and Eula Gertrude Adams. Mr. Teasley was a US Navy Veteran and a graduate of Lander University. He retired from Connie Maxwell Children’s Home after 35 years of employment and was a member of Connie Maxwell Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, William S. Teasley (Racine) of Greenville and a grandson, Trent S. Teasley of Asheville.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Teasley was predeceased by a son, George Eric Teasley; two brothers, William Oscar Teasley and J.B. Teasley and a sister, Betty Teasley Nicholson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday at Connie Maxwell Baptist Church with Rev. Miller Murphy, Rev. Doug Kauffman and Rev. Mary Teasley officiating.
Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Trent Teasley, John Sheriff, James Horne, Jack Cauley, Eric Taylor and Dwight Shaw.
Honorary escort will be the Staff and Alumni of Connie Maxwell Children’s Home.
The family will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 Sunday afternoon.
