Myrtle McIntosh - Ninety Six
Myrtle Louise Floyd Zurcher McIntosh, 88, resident of 209 Spring Street, widow of Forrest McIntosh, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, at her home.
Born April 8, 1931, in Hemingway, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Lee Fowler Floyd. She attended Marion County Schools and retired from the Sloan Plant of Greenwood Mills. She was previously employed with Spofford Mills of Wilmington, NC.
A member of Ninety Six Church of God, she was a longtime Joy Bell Leader at the church.
Surviving are three daughters, Joyce Z. Calhoun of Ninety Six, Patricia Dianne Rushton of Greenwood and Bobbie Sue and husband Jerry Mitchell of Chappells; a son, Laverne “Buck” and wife Brenda Floyd of Leland, NC; two step-sons, Keith and wife Gay McIntosh and Allen and wife Kathy McIntosh, all of Ninety Six; two sisters, Faye and husband Carlton Lane of Marion, SC, and Linda Josey of Aiken; eight grandchildren, Philip Dwayne (Christie) Boyd, Rhonda (Michael) Brooks, Tracy (Wesley) Thompson, Chris (Nicole) Tucker, Tara Farmer, Sammy (Kamala) Farmer, Amy Price-Goldman and Jack Douglas (Angela) Price; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Twice married she was first married to the late Jack Zurcher.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Jackie Zurcher Tucker; a step-son, Terry McIntosh; a sister, Shirley Cooper and two brothers, Jerry and Larry Floyd.
Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 pm Sunday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Chavis and Rev. Dwayne Strickland officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tim Whitman, Keith McIntosh, Allen McIntosh, Dwayne Boyd, Sammy Farmer and Jack Douglas Price.
The family will be at the home on Spring Street and will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 5 Sunday afternoon.
