Doris Mountz - Greenwood

Doris Jean Hahlen Mountz, 83, formerly of 118 Sherwood Drive, widow of Jerry L. Mountz passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 surrounded by her family.

  Born in West Township, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Helen Hyronimus Hahlen. She was a member of Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church and New Alexander Christian Church in New Alexander, OH.

  Surviving are her children, Terry Mountz (Mary) of Camden, Delaware, Sam Mountz (Vanesa), and Tim Mountz, both of Greenwood; brothers, Robert Hahlen (Jackie) of Salem, OH and Don Hahlen of Winona, OH; brother-in-law, Gene Seager of Louisville, OH; grandchildren, T.J. Mountz (Samantha), Jed Mountz, Lauren Johnson (Shan), Kristen Mountz, Brandy Pendley (Derek), Nick Mountz (Shannon), Regan Mountz, and Colton McBride; and thirteen great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, and sister, Marjorie Seager.

  Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Mohr and Rev. Michael Ventrello officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

  Pallbearers will be Derek Pendley, Shan Johnson, Nick Mountz, TJ Mountz, Colton McBride, Adam O’Dell, Jed Mountz, and Bryan Hahlen.

  The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Callie Self Memorial Baptist Church, 509 W Kirksey Drive, Greenwood, SC 29646.

  The family members will be at their respective homes.
