On October 30th, Springfield Elementary students and parents were treated to a day of rope jumping, fitness, and fun! Mark Rothstein, 2011 National Fitness Hall of Fame inductee, brought his World of Rope Jumping show to Greenwood in conjunction with Springfield’s PBIS celebration.
During the school day, Rothstein dazzled students and teachers with his wide array of jump roping tricks. Students who had met their PBIS goals were also allowed to go through a class workshop with Rothstein and learn some of his special moves. Every participating student received a complimentary postcard from Rothstein at the conclusion of the workout for trying their best.
Springfield also held a special evening show for students and parents in their main commons area that was free of charge. During the evening performance, Rothstein led everyone in an inspirational and enjoyable workout focused on family fun.
Rothstein created his World of Rope Jumping tour over 25 years ago and has visited thousands of schools throughout the United States. While his shows are highlighted by his dynamic rope jumping skills, they also carry positive messages about living a healthy life and character building.
A special thanks to Mark for making Springfield’s PBIS celebration one to remember!
