Lander University students are in the thick of rehearsals for the annual presentation of student directed one-act plays, Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 13-16.
Assistant professor of theatre Jennifer Sansfacon said there were will be two plays directed by theatre majors Ryan Hewitt and Kerricus Howard. Students are in charge and appear in each production, while Sansfacon handles lighting and costume design.
Hewitt, a senior from Florence, will direct “World Without Memory,” by Seth Kramer, while Howard, a senior from Anderson, will direct “Don’t Drink Too Much,” by Eitan Loewenstein. Published information describes Loewenstein’s play as containing adult language and themes.
Sansfacon said the plays are free and open to the public, although tickets are required for admission. Tickets will be available at the Lander box office in Johnston Commons up to two hours before show time. Performances will be at 8 p.m. each of the four days plus a 3 p.m. matinee on Saturday.
