The Lander softball team dropped its final game of the Charger Chillout Sunday afternoon when the Bearcats fell to Quincy, 1-0, in the three-day tournament hosted by the University of Alabama in Birmingham at Wilson-Morgan Park.
The Bearcats move to 5-6 overall. Lander was also scheduled to play Barry (Fla.) University on Sunday, but that game was cancelled.
Lander's Kelsey Davis (2-3) took the loss after striking out one and allowing one run (not earned) on two hits in six innings pitched.
Quincy's Wendy Macias was awarded the win after striking out six in the complete-game, one-hit, shutout.
Sarah Fuller got Lander's lone hit of the game.
Quincy scored the lone run of the game in the second inning when Alanna Viken scored on Monica Gray's groundout.
