Jake's Catch Sets New Goal!

December 9, 2012 was the day a new goal was set by a young fisherman.  Jake Holubek, 11 years old is already a huge fan of fishing.  Sunday Jake’s bait was spot on, but will remain a secret.

According to Jake’s father, Jake is a huge fan of fishing and loves fishing in the surrounding lakes.  As any proud father of any kid participating in sports, you get a real sense of pride to see your child enjoying a sport that dear to your own heart.  “There's nothing better as a father than to take your son fishing and seeing the expression of excitement on his face when he lands a fish of his young lifetime” explains Jake’s father Hubie Holubek.

And what a catch it was for the young fisherman, a 7.2lb bass!  Jake was on fire that day as he had already reeled in three others around the 3lb mark.

“As a father I was really not accustomed to being told constantly “Dad get the net, this is a good one” so I basically played net boy for the day.  I really had more fun than if I was catching them myself” added Holubek.  At the end of the day all the fish were released to grow even bigger.

When asked what Jake was fishing with that gave him so much success, he said “@#$%^&? and it was bubble gum color."  Now, young Jake has a new goal and you can bet, he will be on the waters looking to achieve it.

So there you have it folks, like father like son all successful fishermen withhold critical information about the bait used to catch the big ones.

Helping out other fisherman....HE IS ELEVEN!! Fisherman have so much help already its ridiculous. There are the 24hr fishing channels on TV, websites on the internet, and if that's not enough there are maps for your GPS to show all the "hot spots", if that doesn't help you have "side imaging, if you finally find them and cant catch them there is lure specific lines, rods, reels, lures and underwear. How much more help can anyone possibly need? This little fellow caught his fish of a lifetime, a fish that may turn out to be his biggest ever because tomorrows are never promised. Lets go with this Jake, GREAT CATCH! Never met you but proud of you and also congrats on releasing such a beautiful fish to grow and be caught another day. Tricking a big one into biting is a difficult task and you did a great job. I pray you catch many more just always remember to give the thanks to their creator. God Bless
