Under the direction of the Accounting Front Office Supervisor, this position collaborates with Accenture and VELUX Finance India (VFI) regarding customer credit and collection activities. This nonexempt position reports directly to the Accounting Front Office Supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities: Receive and validate new customer credit assessment requests. Obtain resale tax certificates and update accordingly. Assist VFI by monitoring Credit Hold Reports and inform customer of credit status, limits and order blocked release status. Generate customer invoices, payment reminders and statements. Correspond and negotiate with customers regarding credit control, past due payments, collection of credit/debit card receipts, dunning letters and customer follow-up. Request write off uncollectable balances. Research disputes, deductions and unapplied cash to gain resolution according to escalation matrix and policies. Review chargeback invoices. Maintain customer master data structure by completing new customer account application forms, sending trading terms to customers, direct debit mandates to banks and validation/approval of master data forms. Receive record and respond to customer requests and inquiries. Establish, maintain, and communicate point of contact matrix for dispute resolvers and escalations in writing. Serve as a liaison and support VELUX line of business and VELUX Finance India as needed.
Qualifications: An Associate’s Degree is required. General Accounting/Booking experience is preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools is required. Knowledge of SAP system would be beneficial. Must possess excellent problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Good time-management and task prioritization abilities. Project a positive and professional image. Good overall work record. Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
