Summer’s almost over. The kids are back in school. It’s time to think about treating yourself to a day of “Beauty-Full” Fall activities.
On September, 20th, just two weeks after The Alcoves moves to their new location on the 72 By-Pass next to Mig’s restaurant, they are hosting an event that will benefit A Place For Us Ministries, a residential and counseling ministry to support young women in crisis situations.
In each 2-hour time slot, just 40 women will choose from more than 15 inner and outer beauty tips and services and many fall home decorating exhibits and demonstrations.
Outer Beauty activities include make up tips, new fall hair styles consultation, hand massage or nail shaping and wraps, and facial demonstrations – from the Alcoves vendors and other local services providers who are donating their time for this event. Fashion style tips continuously changing on mannequins will show the newest fall fashion looks. A scarf tying video and DIY practice station and jewelry making demonstration will provide ideas for accessorizing.
Inner Beauty activities to promote relaxation include a chair massage, tea tasting with fall cookies from Goodness and Mercy, Daniel Plan recipe sampling from The Shepherd Shop and Encouragement and Prayer in the new Alcoves Prayer Room.
Fall home decorating tips include furniture painting, flower arranging, monogramming, and bow making/wreath tips. Many fall table linens and full table scapes will be for sale, including Gamecock and Clemson paw designs.
Tickets are $25 for a 2-hour time slot (10:00 – Noon, Noon – 2:00, 2:00 – 4:00 and 4:00 – 6:00). They can be purchased this week at The Alcoves current location on Montague and after Labor Day at their new location on the By-Pass.
